Restore Your Oral Function and Complete Your Smile with Full Arch Dental Implants

If you have lost teeth in one arch or both, you must have thought about dentures. While dentures are cost-effective teeth replacements, they aren’t without limitations. Traditional dentures lose their grip over time as your jawbone deteriorates, resulting in slippage when eating or talking.

Tired of your dentures? What if we told you there is a more stable alternative to dentures — Would you try it? Grand Dental Arts in Toms River, New Jersey, offers full-arch dental implants to replace lost teeth. Also known as All-on-4 or “teeth in a day,” full-mouth dental implants are stable, life-like, and functional, just like your natural teeth.

What are full-arch dental implants?

Patients missing most or all their teeth don’t need an implant for each tooth lost. Dr. Williamson refers you to an oral surgeon or periodontist who installs 4-6 dental implants in your mouth to replace your teeth. Once your implants are anchored in your jawbone, we attach a fixed bridge or denture to restore the appearance and function of your teeth.

The process of full-mouth dental implants

The procedure starts with a dental exam to determine your jawbone density and overall dental health. If you’re eligible for dental implantology, we recommend you to a trusted oral surgeon or periodontist who surgically installs 4-6 dental implants strategically in your mouth.

Then, your doctor attaches a new set of teeth over your dental implants on the same day or the following day. This restoration is usually an overdenture that will be replaced a few months later with permanent teeth prosthetics. After healing and fusion (usually after 4-6 months), our team attaches a permanent restoration made from porcelain or other material for a natural-looking outcome. If you take optimal care of your new restoration, it should last 10-15 years.
